Dinner at DASH Restaurant.

Our second night in Chiang Mai we decided to head over to Dash Restaurant which was 1 km from our guesthouse. I find the whole technology age so amazing in that I could google map how to get theree which sort of takes away that thrill ending up somewhere totally different. That thrill of my early 20's and backpacking around Thailand does not last long with kids in tow. They get hot, they get tired, they cry, the squirm and its mostly just easier to know where you a going and the quickest way of getting theere. we did have some adventure in the fact that we walked there and at one stage Andrew was carrying both Cooper and Pepper while I had the baby.

Dash is set in an old style teak house.

 

The garden area outside was perfect for kids also as it was only 5pm it was ideal as later on in the evening it can get really busy.

We met with Koi who helped us with our menu selection and spent much time chatting with the kids. Thailand seems amazingly child friendly, nothing is ever a hassle and they are always welcoming to families.

Cooper being the foodie of the family helped choose our meals.

 

Woody loved his tofu and all the food, he seems to be following his brothers very diverse palate.

The food was served very quickly, very fresh and in good sized portions for us all to share. Koi was able to share with us how the fish was prepared and which herbs and spice mixes she used. They also happen to run cooking classes here. They are also doing up a guesthouse on site.

The teak house has a big room upstairs which Cooper announced as " georgeous with Indian influence". The owner Dash was also on hand to chat with our family and the vibe of the whole place is very professional yet relaxed.

I had read all about the famous brownie that Noi, ,Dash's Mother created.

 

We shared it as a family and it was amazing. We could eat out way through Chiang Mai so easily!

We got a tuk tuk home, somehow the five of us fitted in the little mode of transport and where whisk back to the guesthouse just before the city really comes alive. We hope to discover Chaing Mai at night very soon, but when Woody thinks that 430am is the real 7.30 its hard to be awake after 8pm!
